Come meet our doulas at our FREE doula open house!!
At BirthFocus we understand the process involved in choosing the right doula to join women and their families on a most intimate experience, the birth of a baby! Our FREE “Eat, Drink, DOULA” open houses, held in partnership with Caribou Baby, gives pregnant women, and their partners, a chance to learn more about our doula practice, to connect intimately with several doulas through one on one interviews, and to explore a wonderful resource in the epicenter of baby/mama care in Williamsburg. We lovingly refer to these events as “speed dating for doulas” as each expecting couple will have a chance to meet with 4-5 doulas, of varying experience levels, throughout the event. Please register for the open house and know that we are very much looking forward to meeting you!

Our very own Licensed Massage Therapist, Tiffany Adams, will be at the Museum of Motherhood from 4pm-6pm every Wednesday offering a sample of her incredible work. Tiffany has been a massage therapist since 2003 and caters to pregnant moms through relaxing pre and post-natal massages. Come check out how her magical hands can help you into a relaxed place! $15 for 10 minutes, $20 for 20 minutes!

The COCOON TIME workshop prepares you and your partner for the early days of parenthood with empowering strategies to get the support and nourishment you need after your baby is born. Here you will find a roadmap to savor the sacredness of the first few weeks of life with your baby.
The COCOON TIME Workshop provides strategies for:
- A nourishing home environment and family rhythm;
- Holistic postpartum health through whole foods nutrition;
- Balanced self-care and baby care;
- Mindfulness practices to prevent and/or manage postpartum blues;
- Loving, constructive communication with your partner;
And much more!
If you are expecting a baby for the first, second or third time, this event is for you. You will leave the COCOON TIME Workshop with a plan to cultivate the support you really need, develop powerful self-care habits that you can stick with, and empower yourself as a parent from the moment your baby is born. Creating this cocoon time for yourself, baby, and family will not only benefit you in the early days after birth but set the foundation for your nourished home-life longterm.
FEE: $90 per couple. Includes COCOON TIME workbook, recipes, light refreshments, and tea.
The COCOON TIME workshop is led by Laura Thompson Brady, M.S., H.H.C., founder of The Nourished Home, offering holistic health coaching through phone and skype consultations for women, expecting parents, and the whole family. Laura has her Master’s in Human Development & Family Studies and she integrates the latest research on nutrition, pregnancy, birth, parenting, and personal development with holistic health strategies to support her client’s goals for personal and family health. Laura lives in the beautiful state of Maine with her husband and two daughters.
